ABOUT THE PROGRAM
Turning data into climate impact
The AI for Climate Resilience Program is a global initiative by Klarna to accelerate the use of AI in tackling the local effects of climate change. It identifies and supports innovators developing practical AI solutions for communities most exposed to climate risks, turning pilot ideas into scalable tools for adaptation and resilience.
The program helps communities in lower-middle-income countries (LMICs) use artificial intelligence to strengthen their ability to face climate challenges through resilience and adaptation. Through funding and mentorship, the program supports local teams in creating practical AI tools that address real needs — helping people prepare for, adapt to, and recover from climate-related shocks.
The AI for Climate Resilience Program focuses on system-wide change by supporting projects that build trust, collaboration, and sustainable behaviour across civil society. Beyond grants, participants receive tailored guidance on how to apply AI responsibly for public benefit, strengthen organisational capacity, and scale their solutions for long-term impact.
